Rob Clark, CFI & CFII

Owner and Instructor

Though he started flying at age 15, Rob has spent most of his professional life as teacher. Inspired by his father, a pilot himself, Rob first learned how to fly at Boire Field in Nashua, New Hampshire. Having relocated to New Haven Connecticut for graduate school in Anthropology at Yale in 1998, Rob earned his instrument, commercial, and flight instructor certificates at Meriden-Markham Municipal Aiport in Meriden, CT. Rob currently is the Commander and Aerospace Education Officer of the Gettysburg Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol. He is especially proud of helping his squadron earn their first “find” of an aircraft locator beacon in 2018. In addition to teaching and flying, Rob enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing, professional football, and military history.

Chris Folster, CFI

Instructor

Chris obtained his Private Pilot’s license at Dutchess County Airport in Poughkeepsie, NY in 1994. He then obtained his Commercial-Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings at FlightSafety Academy in Vero Beach, FL in 1996. Chris obtained his Flight Instructor in 2020 and has nearly 400 hours flying time. Chris is a career fire fighter in Frederick County, MD and flies with the Civil Air Patrol. Chris is an avid student of military history and enjoys fishing.

David Reichard

David “Baron von” Reichard is a Waynesboro, PA native who grew up learning about aviation from his grandfather. From an early age he was fascinated by planes, and spent many hours playing around in flight simulators. In 2018, David decided to take the first steps towards being a pilot, and began learning under the instruction of Rob. He is close to finishing his Private Pilot certificate, and plans on pressing on for his instrument and commercial rating. Dave is also the Deputy Commander of Cadets for the Gettysburg Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol. In his spare time, he enjoys working on his father-in-law’s dirt track race car, tinkering with electronics, playing computer games, and spending time with his family.
